SAKÉ RESTAURANT & BAR

Gather for a
Japanese occasion

Japan is famous for it’s theatrical arts. At Saké we make theatrical dining our art form.

This is a performance of true mastery. Sushi masters create art in the open kitchen. At your table, dishes arrive with beautiful painterly brushstrokes, smoke trapped beneath bel jars creates exquisite flavour experiences. Binchotan charcoal aglow with the heat of Australia creates an atmosphere as electric as the neon that soaks Tokyo.

Thirty bins of saké waiting to be opened. Produce as fresh as each occasion is prepared with refined restraint. Gather here and get lost in our culinary art form.

Premium dining.
Distilled to perfection.

Japan is a place of gathered contrasts. Tradition and precision. Future and flair. Mornings sourcing produce. Evenings respecting rituals. Distil these contrasts down and you find an obsession for the exceptional. This obsession is at the centre of the Saké story.

It’s in the fish that’s sourced daily, as fresh as the tide. It’s in the careful knife work and the embers of the charcoal. It’s in the seasonal produce that makes the displays of world-class craft possible.

And it’s in the seductive energy and captivating connections that fill each contemporary space. Best exchanged over cocktails enriched with the spirit that inspires our namesake. We have 30 bins of saké sourced from the Land of the Rising Sun — let us transport you there.

From the first delicacy to the last shared dish, every course at Saké has its moment. And just when you think the night has peaked, the Dragon Egg arrives — dry-ice smoke curling across the table. A slow pour of hot caramel breaks it open. You’re no longer watching the open kitchen from the kaunta seki, the room is drawn to you.

But if privacy feels more your pace, Saké offers four elegant private dining rooms as well. No matter how you choose the gather, the same masterful standard waits to meet you.
