Can I see the dietary menu? What options are (GF/ coeliac friendly, vegan/ vegetarian)

First and foremost, we are a steakhouse, and are renowned for our beef and seafood credentials. For that reason, our vegan options are limited. We can, however, cater for most other dietary requirements. Please make note of your special dietary requirements when you make your online booking, and let your server know once you have been seated.

Are the meats halal?

We have halal-certified meat on the menu, however there is no separate halal preparation space in our kitchens.

How many guests before the set menu is mandatory?

Parties of 12 or more guests will be required to dine from the set menu.

Do you cater to dietaries on the set menu?

We can always make accommodations for those guests who have specific dietary requirements, even if the group is on a set menu. We offer alternative dishes as close to the original menu as possible, if that’s not possible we find a suitable swap. While we can sometimes accommodate on short notice, knowing beforehand allows chefs to make some preparations ahead.

What payments do you accept?

All Visa, Mastercard, and AMEX credit card transactions incur a processing fee of 1.8%. Debit card (Visa & Mastercard) transactions incur a processing fee of 1.4% and EFTPOS, 1.15%. International cards incur a processing fee of 3.5%. 10% discretionary service charge applies to all groups of 6+. 10% surcharge applies on Sundays. 15% surcharge applies on all public holidays.

Is catering available?

No we are a dine in restaurant only.

Is takeaway available?

No, takeaway is not available.

Are walk ins accepted?

We do accept walk-ins; however, a booking is highly recommended, especially on weekends.

Are children welcome & are there highchairs?

Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult. We have highchairs available on request.

Do you have disability access?

Our restaurant is located within a heritage listed building, so we do not have lift access.

Do you have gift cards?

Yes, we do. You can purchase a gift card here.

What gift cards are accepted?

We accept Rockpool Dining Group gift cards, Hunter Street Hospitality and Pacific Concepts gift cards, as well as Good Food and Gourmet Traveller gift cards.

I want to change my booking; how do I do this?

Hi there, you can modify or cancel your booking directly via the confirmation email you received. Alternatively, you can contact us on 02 9256 5695 / reservation.cutbarandgrill@hunter-street.com.au, however our reservations team works within regular business hours, and the restaurant may not answer the call right away during peak service.

How do I organise an event?

Do you have a private dining room/what's the minimum number of people?

Yes, we have a small semi-private dining room located within the restaurant that can accommodate from 6 to 12 seated guests. We also have a larger private room that can accommodate up to 70 guests, this room is located above the restaurant and offers complete privacy.

What is your booking/cancellation Policy?

During peak service times, we kindly ask for a credit card to be placed on file when booking, helping us minimise last-minute cancellations and no-shows. If a booking is cancelled late or guests do not attend, a fee of $50 per person may apply. For small groups, we request at least 4 hours’ notice to avoid this charge. For groups of 8 or more, we require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice. Please note that separate cancellation terms apply to private room bookings, which will be shared at the time of reservation.
